I keep forcing myself to get up early (good), but not forcing myself to get to bed early (bad).
Evening Workout - 2.0hrs:
Warm-up:
- bands and mobility stuff
Handbalancing:
OAHS:
- about 20 minutes of practice
- left arm keeps getting better; right arm not so much
Strength:
Ring Supports:
- 5x(max)
- full RTO, good tension throughout the body, long holds
RTO Dips:
- 5x5
- about 45 degree RTO
- too much pushing the elbows into the straps on the way up
Wall HSPU:
- tried this, couldn't even do half-ROM well after those dips, so moved on
Manna Progressions:
- 6x(max)
- press to tuck V-seat
- extend to straddle V-seat
- bring legs together to full vertical V-seat
- drop out after about half a second
- but a solid half second, with straight elbows!
Conditioning:
HS and Active Stretching:
- 4x max straddle HS on p-bars followed by active pike hold
Conditioning Circuit:
- 100 push-ups, 50 curls with a 32kg KB and a strap, 10 hollow rock circles
- did reps to near failure in each, then moved on to the next, cycling until I got all the reps in
- managed 35 push-ups on the first set
- RPE: ~7
Cool-down:
PNF Stretching:
- hip flexors
- straddle splits
